If the renowned landscapes of Moremi, Kwai, Savuti, and Chobe have piqued your interest, then prepare for an expedition that will introduce you to some of the most magnificent destinations on the planet. Over the years, the sheer beauty of these regions has beckoned us back time and again, and now we invite you to join us in uncovering vistas that will etch themselves into your memory forever. Together, we'll traverse thousands of hectares of natural splendour, crafting narratives you'll share for years to come.
Venture with us off the main paths, where hidden trails and secret twee-spoor tracks await. Your 4x4 with high clearance and low range will be essential, as will your off-road camping trailer. The campsites we've chosen, each visited and beloved by us for their charm, offer rustic settings with essential ablution facilities; most even boast hot showers.
Our adventure kicks off near the Ramatlabama border post, nestled in a sublime nature reserve where we'll spend our first night under the stars. Here, I'll conduct thorough checks on all vehicles and gear, ensuring a smooth start to our journey.
After navigating the border, we'll make our way to a lodge on Botswana's western front, where campfire stories and the spirit of past adventures will come to life. From there, the journey takes us to Maun, a slice of civilization and your threshold to the wilderness. Here, luxury awaits in a tented camp; no setup required.
Maun, the gateway to safari adventures, offers a chance to restock, explore, and for the intrepid, an optional flight over the Okavango Delta, a marvel that must be arranged in advance.
Post-brunch in Maun, we delve into the true adventure, spending the next 10 days exploring Botswana's core. The Moremi and Savuti become our playground, with their famous campsites and the promise of daily game drives. Optional boat or mokoro rides in the Delta add to the thrill, with the guarantee of unforgettable moments and daily surprises.
The wild campsites, unenclosed and inviting, mean that wildlife encounters are part of the package; elephants, hyenas, lions, and possibly the elusive wild dog are all neighbours here. Monkeys and baboons add to the authentic experience, ensuring each day is filled with genuine adventure.
The journey is exhilarating, indeed an adventure in the truest sense, filled with the extraordinary and the unexpected, something we confidently guarantee.
Concluding our wild odyssey, we spend three nights beside the Chobe River in Kasane, where indulgences like fine dining, spa treatments, and tiger fishing await (these extras are at your discretion). A highlight, included in your tour, is the Chobe River sunset cruise: an experience destined to be a highlight of your travels.
